Mike Hoffman is a Field CTO at Dragos, focusing on the Oil and Gas sector, with over 25 years of industry experience. His career began in Downstream at Shell, where he advanced from an Instrumentation & Electrical Technician to a Process/CEMS Analyzer Specialist. He later transitioned to Upstream as a Controls & Automation Specialist before returning to Downstream as a Refinery ICS Security Engineer. Prior to joining Dragos, Mike served as Shell’s Global Principal ICS Security Engineer for all Downstream operations. At Dragos, he spent four years as a Principal Industrial Consultant before assuming his current leadership role.

Mike holds a Master of Science in Information Security Engineering (MSISE) from the SANS Technology Institute and is a SANS Certified Instructor for ICS410 and ICS612, teaching globally. A lifelong learner, he has earned over 18 GIAC certifications, including the elite GSE, and is passionate about advancing ICS/OT cybersecurity across critical infrastructure.
